Peer review process

The Yearbook of the Iaşi National Museum of Romanian Literature seeks to raise the quality of the published articles and studies by promoting the peer review practice by established specialists from the fields of history of culture, literature, museology and cultural heritage. The procedure is fulfilled by reviewers co-opted on a yearly basis, as follows:

Stage 1. Initial evaluation. All the articles and studies are firstly read and evaluated by the editorial board. At this stage, depending on the case, minor adjustments, such as missing references, missing parts of the text, issues related to illustrations, etc., can be requested, while being returned to the authors. The maximum processing period between the article`s submission and the issue of an initial response is two months. The articles and the studies that fulfill the minimum requirements automatically enter the second phase of evaluation.

Stage 2. The review by experts. Every article will be read by an external and independent specialist reviewer, without the knowledge of the authorʼs name. The review will take place within two months from the moment of the articleʼs submission, and will follow the principles stated in the dedicated form (Annex 2). The name of the reviewer will not be communicated to the author (Double-Blind Peer Review).

Stage 3. The reviewing report is analyzed and a decision is taken for each article, followed by a period in which the article is sent back to the author for the appropriate changes to be made (where applicable). The author shall return the material to the editorial board within two months with a clear ready to print mention.

There are no fees for processing and publication of articles.

The authors will assign the non-exclusive rights of reproduction and dissemination of articles throughout the existence of the yearbook.

The authors will comply with the Romanian copyright legislation. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. The Editorial Board does not assume responsibility for any type of plagiarism. The authors are fully responsible for their own content.
