Rezumat / Summary: This study describes the methodology of conservation-restoration interventions on the icon “Transfiguration of Jesus”, painted in the 19th century by an unknown artist. The paper contributes to a better assessment and remedying of the main forms of degradation often found on wood paintings in tempera.
