Rezumat / Summary: This article presents the state of conservation and the restoration stages of a painted triptych. The object, dating from the 19th century, is made of wood and it has suffered inappropriate interventions and various kinds of degradation. By means of restoration we tried to aesthetically recover the original image, observing the limits imposed by the principles of restoration, by the technique of execution and by the state of conservation of the triptych.
